Aluminum Extrusion Billet
Extrusion is the process of shaping a certain form of aluminum (usually called billet) by heating and molding it. The mold in the desired shape is prepared in advance and attached to the extrusion machine. The aluminum billet is then pushed through the extrusion machine and takes the shape of the mold. Aluminum extrusion may be compared to squeezing a toothpaste tube, as a result of which the squeezed-out paste takes the form of the lid’s hole.
